1) A squeeze page where you will lead the click-throughs from your Ad

2) A compelling free offer or resource that will appeal to your target audience

3) An email marketing program already set up to capture your leads and deliver the free resource

4) Of course, you will need to have a clearly defined target audience so that you set up your Advertisement specifications to reach them

5) Trackable links so that you know your click-through rate vs your conversion (opt-ins). Facebook also provides these metrics, but it’s good to have your own trackable links as well.

Do not lead your click-throughs to your general website home page if you are trying to grow your email list. Even if you have your opt-in form there, your web visitor may not go straight to your opt-in form.

For best results, the page you lead your click-throughs to land on, should only give them one option, which is to sign up for your email list in return for your free resource.
