September 22, 2011 marks the start/countdown to the last 100 days of 2011. Can you believe it? How time flies? How do you feel about what you have accomplished over the previous 265 days? Are you on target to achieving the goals you set for yourself this year?
The good news is that the year 2011 is not over yet. Surprise, surprise! Depending on your goals, there may or may not be enough time to achieve them by the end of the year. But you can certainly develop some momentum and set a target that’s not too far behind the end of 2011.
It will take some elbow grease, focus and accountability to make it happen. You can finish 2011 strong and get a good head start into 2012. That’s my plan.
I am inviting you to join me in committing to end 2011 Strong with a 100 Days of Focus Challenge. The Challenge is to perform activities each day that will have you achieve or be well on your way to achieving your goals for 2011. Ideally, your goals should be in the areas of Business, Family, Personal Development and Health.
Accountability

Focus
Focus on your goal(s) – You will need laser sharp focus. If you were focused during the earlier part of the year, you will need to sharpen your laser. If not, now is the time to put on your blinders and really focus on your goal. Write it down and place it on your bathroom mirror, write it on index cards and carry it with you.
Quarterback it – Plan the steps you need to achieve your goal so that you are carrying out regular activities towards achieving it. If you have not been using your Day Planner, dust it off and journal your steps to achieving your goal.
Manage Your Time – Be very clear and intentional about how you spend your time. Cut back on the time you spend on activities that are not in alignment with your goal. Increase the time you spend on the things that bring you closer to achieving your goals. Sounds very simple, but not so easy to implement.
